Ingredients:
4 cups carrots, sliced on a bias 1/8-inch thick (use a mandolin if available) |
1/4 cup water |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 tablespoon sugar |
nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Place carrots, water, butter and sugar in a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 12 to 15 minutes or until carrots are tender. Season with nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste. |
