This is another recipe clipping that Mom collected. I am sure there is one here on Zaar, but I just want to put it here for safe keeping. These are all cut out of magazines and I have no idea which magazine or paper they came from. Some are even newspaper clippings.
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 salad oil
3 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple
2 tablespoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
3 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups carrots, shredded
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 cup brown sugar
orange juice
Directions:
1. Cake.
2. Mix all ingredients except the brown sugar and orange juice, together
3. Bake in a well greased and floured tube pan.
4. Bake at 325* for 1 1/2 hours.
5. Frosting.
6. Mix brown sugar with enough orange juice to spread over cake while still warm.
