This is another recipe clipping that Mom collected. I am sure there is one here on Zaar, but I just want to put it here for safe keeping. These are all cut out of magazines and I have no idea which magazine or paper they came from. Some are even newspaper clippings. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1 1/2 salad oil |
3 eggs |
3 cups all-purpose flour |
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple |
2 tablespoons baking soda |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
3 teaspoons vanilla |
2 cups carrots, shredded |
1 cup nuts, chopped |
1 cup brown sugar |
orange juice |
Directions:
1. Cake. 2. Mix all ingredients except the brown sugar and orange juice, together 3. Bake in a well greased and floured tube pan. 4. Bake at 325* for 1 1/2 hours. 5. Frosting. 6. Mix brown sugar with enough orange juice to spread over cake while still warm. |
