I have not tried this pie. I'm posting this for safe keeping. I found this recipe in From Babas' Kitchen To Ours. Ingredients:
1 cup raw carrot, finely grated, cooked and mashed |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon ginger |
1/2 tablespoon butter |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1 egg, well beaten |
Directions:
1. Prepare pastry and line a pie plate. 2. Mix together all ingredients. 3. Pour into unbaked shell. 4. Bake in 350 oven for 1 hour, or until done. 5. Top with whipped cream. |
