Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.Butter and dust with flour three 8 2. inch pans.In bowl mix flour, 3. baking powder,cinnamon, 4. baking soda,nutmeg,salt and 5. cloves.In bowl beat eggsand 6. both sugars.On low beat in 7. oil,cream,vanilla,ginger,and 8. zest.Beat in flour mixture, 9. add carrots and nuts.Pour 10. batter into pans.Bake until 11. darkgolden brown,38-40 min. 12. Let cool in pans on rack 20 13. min.For the frosting 14. In bowl beat cream cheese, 15. butter,zest,juice and vanilla. 16. On low, beat in sugar.On high 17. beat 30 seconds.Place cake 18. layer on plate.Spread 3/4 c 19. frosting over top.Top with 20. cake layer repeat layers. 21. top with chopped nuts |
