An easy moist carrot bar recipe that always gets lots of recipe requests. I found in a local church cookbook. Enjoy! Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
2 cups sugar |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil |
2 (6 ounce) jars carrots (3rd food baby food) |
4 eggs |
cream cheese frosting |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (softened) |
1/2 cup margarine (softened) |
2 cups powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Sift first 5 ingredients together in small bowl. In larger bowl add next 4 ingredients and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into prepared sheet cake or 2 9X12 cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees 20-30 minutes. 2. Frost with cream cheese frosting when cool. |
