Carrot and Rice Pilaf Dehydrated Mix

We store this mix in airtight containers and use when we haven’t got time to cook a fresh meal or when we are backpacking.
Ingredients:
1 cup dehydrated carrot
2 cups uncooked rice
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 tablespoon vegetable bouillon
1 tablespoon dried onion
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
3 cups water
Directions:
1. Put ingredients in a 2-quart saucepan. Bring to boil on high heat then cover and simmer on medium to low heat for 30 minutes; or until rice is tender and water has cooked off. Turn off heat and let stand, covered, for 10 minutes. Fluff and serve.
