An easy strawberry dessert recipe from Quebec for strawberry squares with cream. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1 cup flour |
1 lb fresh strawberries |
whipped cream |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Mix together all the ingredients.
3. Press the mixture into the bottom of an 8-inch square pan.
4. Place in oven and bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
5. To serve: Allow to cool. Top with sliced strawberries and whipped cream. Cut into squares.
