A delicious, healthy pasta. Ingredients:
1 large yellow onion, chopped |
6 -10 cloves garlic, minced (large cloves) |
2 stalks celery, chopped |
2 carrots, chopped |
1 cup mushroom (any kind of good mushrooms) |
2 cups chopped broccoli |
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce or 1 (28 ounce) can canned plum tomatoes |
1/2-1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1/2-1 teaspoon basil |
1/2-1 teaspoon chili flakes |
salt |
1 lb spaghetti (or any kind of pasta) |
3 -4 to taste olive oil |
Directions:
1. Put several tablespoons olive oil in a frying pan. 2. Add onions, celery, carrots and mushrooms and cook until almost soft. 3. At this point, add the broccoli and cook until all is al dente or soft. 4. Add garlic immediately and cook for a few minutes. 5. Add remaining sauce, herbs and salt and let simmer, covered. 6. Cook pasta in boiling, salted water. 7. Drain and combine with sauce. |
