Easy and inexpensive one-dish meal. The spices from the sausage flavor this dish, but add additional seasonings if you like. Ingredients:
1/2 cup bulk sausage |
1 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper |
1 (16 ounce) can chopped tomatoes |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
hot pepper sauce |
salt (optional) |
pepper |
1 cup uncooked rice |
Directions:
1. Brown sausage, then add onion and peppers and stir-fry 2-3 minutes. 2. Add rest of ingredients plus 2 cups water; stir well, cover and cook over low heat until rice is done and liquid absorbed. |
