Wonderful. I believe this was originally from Southern Living. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1 lb brown sugar |
3 eggs |
2 cups self-rising flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup pecans, chopped |
powdered sugar, to dust |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300°F. 2. Grease a 9x13-inch pan. 3. Using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 4. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each egg. 5. Add flour; mix well. 6. Stir in vanilla and pecans by hand. 7. Pour into prepared pan (batter will be stiff). 8. Bake for 45 minutes. 9. Let cool; then dust with powdered sugar. 10. Cut and serve. |
