These are a great way to treat yourself to chocolate without the sugar. Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
1/4 cup chopped raisins |
1/4 cup chopped dates |
1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds |
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut |
1/2 cup whole flax seed |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon stevia, extract (powder) |
1/4 cup butter |
1/4 cup natural-style peanut butter (no sugar) |
1 cup unsweetened carob chips |
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. 2. Heat butter, peanut butter and carob chips until melted, stirring to combine thoroughly. 3. Pour over dry ingredients and again mix thoroughly. 4. Spread in a glass 8 x 8 square pan. 5. Chill in refrigerator for at least two hours. 6. Cut into squares and serve. Store unused portion in fridge. 7. You can also make these as drop cookies by dropping spoonfuls onto waxed paper before chilling. |
