Carlie's Chocolate Oatmeal Waffles |

This was an attempt to please a picky eater. I took a few recipes from this site and mixed them all up. She loved it! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 cup quick-cooking oats |
1/2 cup white sugar |
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 cups reduced-fat milk |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. 2. Mix flour, oats, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk milk, eggs, and butter in another bowl; stir into flour mixture until batter is just combined. 3. Pour batter into preheated waffle iron. Cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes per waffle. |
