Caribbean Spicy Mango Sauce |

Simple homemade spicy mango sauce for chicken, pork or fish. Ingredients:
6 whole mango, peeled and seeded |
7 whole kiwi, peeled |
7 whole habanero chile pepper, fresh, stemed and seeded |
4 whole lime, for juice |
4 whole lemon, for juice |
4 tbsp no sugar added orange juice, or use fresh squeeze orange |
1/3 c white vinegar |
1 tsp sea salt |
2 c water |
Directions:
1. In large pot add habanero, water & salt. 2. Slow boil for 15 mins, then drain, saving 3/4 c of water. 3. Puree in blender, pour in the saved water & all ingredients except vinegar. 4. Return to pot & simmer on medium-low heat for 10 mins. stirring constantly. 5. Remove from heat & stir in vinegar til slightly cooled. 6. Keeps in refrigerator up to 4 months. 7. Best serve sweet & spicy for chicken, pork, or fish. 8. Enjoy! |
