This recipe comes from Heather Carlucci-Rodriguez, who opened a tiny shop in Manhattan called Lassi, selling especially fresh and vibrant version of classic Punjabi dishes. Ingredients:
1 quart plain low-fat yogurt |
6 -8 tablespoons sugar |
4 large ice cubes |
1 teaspoon ground cardamom |
Directions:
1. Spoon the yogurt into a blender. Add 6 tbls. of the sugar to the yogurt. Add ice and cardamom and blend until the yogurt mixture is smooth and frothy. Add up to 2 more tbls. of sugar if you want a sweeter drink. Pour into tall galsses and serve cold. Enjoy! |
