Cardamom Almond Half Moons

I'm at it again with the savory cookies. A not sweet, dense, earthy cookie with a middle eastern flair. Surprisingly addictive, these are also not a horrible treat for people on a low sugar diet.
Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
pinch of salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/3 cup of sugar
6 tsp cardamom (ground)
1 tsp almond extract or
1/3 cup shaved or finely chopped almonds (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375F degrees
2. Heavily grease cookie sheet
3. Combine Flour and salt
4. Cream butter, sugar and 2 tsp of cardamom until fluffy.
5. Gradually add in the flour at low speed
6. Add almond element of your choice
7. Add remaining Cardamom
8. Press dough firmly into a tablespoon or small ice cream scooper to make a dome shape
9. Place cookies on sheets 1/2 inch apart
10. Bake 14 minutes or until the bottom edge begins to turn golden to dark golden brown
11. Let cool about 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
