Caraway Sour Cream Cabbage |

This is very creamy and very tasty. I like to serve this year round with baked chicken or grilled pork chops. Enjoy Ingredients:
1/2 cup water |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
6 cups shredded cabbage |
1 large onion sliced |
1 cup dairy sour cream |
2 tablespoons all purpose flour |
1 teaspoon prepared mustard |
1 teaspoon caraway seed |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
paprika |
Directions:
1. In saucepan bring water and salt to boiling. 2. Add cabbage and onion then cook covered for 8 minutes. 3. Drain reserving cooking liquid then add enough water to cooking liquid to make 3/4 cup. 4. In same saucepan blend together sour cream, flour, mustard, caraway seed, salt and pepper. 5. Stir in cooking liquid then fold in cabbage and onion and turn mixture into a casserole dish. 6. Bake covered at 350 for 20 minutes stirring once. 7. Sprinkle generously with paprika then serve immediately. |
