A different way to prepare sauerkraut. Ingredients:
1/2 lb bacon, diced |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 (27 ounce) can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained |
1 (8 ounce) can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
1 tablespoon caraway seed |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. In a skillet cook bacon and onion until bacon is crisp; drain. 3. Add all remaining ingredients. 4. Transfer to an ungreased 2 quart baking dish. 5. Bake, uncovered, for 30-35 minute or until heated through. |
