Garlic for dessert? Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
6 tablespoons water |
1/2 cup peeled garlic clove |
2 tablespoons unsalted butter |
1 tablespoon brandy |
Directions:
1. Pour sugar into small heavy skillet and moisten evenly with 2 Tablespoons water. 2. Place over medium heat until mixture turns golden, tipping and swirling occasionally to insure even browning. 3. Gradually add the remaining 1/4 cup water and then the garlic cloves. 4. Continue cooking for 2 more minutes. 5. Swirl in the butter and then the brandy. 6. Allow to cool while you scoop the ice cream. 7. Serve warm over ice cream. |
