Easy and delicious caramelized onions with the kick of chipolte chilies. From Redbook Ingredients:
2 tbs each unsalted butter and canola oil |
6 large onions(3lbs),thinly sliced |
1 chipolte chile in adobo sauce,chopped |
1/2 tsp each salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. In a large non-stick skillet,melt butter and onion over med. heat. Add onions and cook,tossing frequently,20 to 25 mins. or till onions are golden. 2. Stier in chipolte chile,salt,and pepper and cook 5 mins longer to let flavors blend. |
