With kicks of dark rum and ground cinnamon, this sweet treat is a guranteed to be a favorite. Treat yourself to this drool-worthy Caramelized Banana Sundae. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
2 tablespoons dark rum |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
3/4 cup thinly sliced banana (about 1 medium) |
2 cups vanilla low-fat ice cream |
4 teaspoons sliced almonds, toasted |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add sugar, rum, and cinnamon; stir to combine. Add banana; cook 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat. 2. Spoon 1/2 cup ice cream into each of 4 bowls. Top each serving with about 2 tablespoons banana mixture and 1 teaspoon almonds. Serve immediately. |
