Go ahead and use whatever nut you prefer. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons flour, sifted |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 large egg whites, whipped till stiff but not dry |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup walnuts or 1 cup pecans or 1 cup cashews, chopped and toasted |
Directions:
1. Mix flour,salt and sugar. 2. Fold egg whites into dry ingredients. 3. Add vanilla and cashews. 4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a parchment covered cookie sheet at least 1-1/2 inches apart. 5. Bake in a 350 oven about 20 minutes. 6. Will be golden and crisp. |
