This is rather moorish. Ingredients:
125 g butter |
125 g sugar |
1 egg |
1 1/2 cups flour |
2 tablespoons custard powder |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
sultana |
90 g butter |
7 ounces condensed milk |
2 tablespoons golden syrup |
1/4 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar, add egg then dry ingredients. 2. Divide shortcake in two. 3. Press one half in tin. 4. Melt together and pour over base. Sprinkle with sultanas and cover with remaining mixture. Bake in a moderate oven 20 - 30 minutes. |
