These little cookies are so delicious. Especially with coffee. Try serving them with a small bowl of French vanilla or banana ice cream. :) Ingredients:
1/2 cup crisco |
1 stick unsalted butter |
2 cups brown sugar |
2 eggs |
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
3-1/2 cups sifted self-rising flour |
1 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. In large bowl, mix shortening, butter brown sugar, eggs, vanilla 2. Stir in flour and nuts 3. Form into 2 rolls 4. Wrap and chill for about 4-6 hours OR overnight 5. Slice 1/8 inch thick 6. Place on cookie sheet 7. Bake at 375 degrees until lightly browned 8. Remove from cookie sheet, place on wire rack to cool |
