Great recipe that caught my eye with the ingredients. I love sweet potatoes and caramel! What a combination! Yeah buddy Ingredients:
*****caramel topping |
1/3 cup butter or margarine |
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
1/4 cup corn syrup |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |

2 1/2 cups baking mix |
2/3 cup mashed cooked fresh or canned sweet potatoes |
1/3 cup milk |
2 tablespoons butter or margarine - softened |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F 2. **TO MAKE TOPPING** 3. Melt butter in an ungreased 9 inch square baking pan in oven. 4. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup. 5. Sprinkle with pecans 6. ***TO MAKE DOUGH*** 7. In a bowl, stir baking mix, sweet potatoes and milk until dough forms 8. Place dough on surface dusted wih baking mix. 9. Knead lightly 10 times. 10. Roll or pat into 12 square. 11. Spread butter over dough 12. Sprinkle with brown sugar 13. Fold dough into thirds; press edges together to seal 14. Cut crosswise into 1 inch strips 15. Twist edges of strips into opposite directions 16. Arrange twists on pecans in pan 17. Bake at 400 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown 18. Immediately turn pan upside down onto heat proof serving plate 19. Leave pan over cake for 1 minute. 20. Remove pan and serve warm 21.
