This is my wife's favorite cake icing. Not sure where her mom got it, but she's made it for years. It's really, really good. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/4 cup milk (hot) |
3 1/4 cups powdered sugar (or as much as possible so you can still spread it) |
Directions:
1. Melt the butter or margarine in a saucepan. Add the brown sugar. Bring to boil and cook and stir for 1 minute. 2. Cool for 15 minutes in the refrigerator. 3. Add the milk and beat until smooth. Beat in the powdered sugar until spreadable. |
