These are fast, easy and absolutely fantastic! My family cannot get enough of these. Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 1/2 cups water |
1/2 cup white sugar |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup milk |
1 cup flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. For the sauce: Carmelize the brown sugar and butter. Add the water and boil for a few minutes. Pour into a 2 quart casserole dish. 2. For the dumplings: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Add milk. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Drop by spoonfuls into the sauce. Bake for 20 - 30 minutes. |
