This is the very best crunch and munch I've had. Wonderful flavor. Try it, you'll like it. Nuts may be added if you like, but I like just the caramel corn. Yummy! Ingredients:
15 cups popped popcorn |
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup packed light brown sugar |
1/4 cup light corn syrup |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
Directions:
1. Pop popcorn till you have 15 cups and place in a very large bowl. 2. In a pan heat the butter, light brown sugar, light corn syrup, and salt on medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes. 3. Remove from heat. 4. Stir in the baking soda. 5. Pour over the popped popcorn and stir till well coated. 6. Put on large ungreased cookie sheet or two 9x13-inch pans. 7. Bake at 200°F for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. 8. NOTE: If you want to add nuts, decrease popcorn to 12 cups and add 3 cups nuts before stirring. |
