Caramel Cookies Topped With Melted Chocolate |

Carmel cookies with a light melt in your mouth bottom layer topped with melted milk chocolate. Ingredients:
2/3 cup oleo or 2/3 cup butter, softened |
1/4 cup white sugar |
1 1/4 cups flour |
1/2 cup oleo or 1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
2 tablespoons light corn syrup |
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk |
1 1/4 cups milk chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Cream 2/3 cup softened oleo, white sugar & flour and press into a 9 square pan. Bake for 20 minutes in 350 pre heated oven. 2. In a sauce pan combine 1/2 c butter, the brown sugar, light corn syrup & sweetened condensed milk. Bring to boil and boil 5 minute 3. Remove from heat and beat with a wooden spoon for 3 minute Pour over baked crust. Cool until begins to firm up. 4. Heat chip in microwave for 1 min and stir. Then at 20 sec intervals until melted. Pour over carmel layer and chill. |
