This recipe is adapted from one in the Cotton Country Cookbook. Given to me by a co-worker, it is one of her favorites! Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
1 lb dark brown sugar |
2 eggs |
1 1/2 cups flour, sifted |
2 teaspoons baking powder |
2 cups pecans, chopped |
1 dash salt |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and brown sugar together. 2. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. 3. Add flour and baking powder; mix well. 4. Stir in pecans, salt and vanilla. 5. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9x2 inch baking dish. 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350. 7. Cool, cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar. |
