A very simple dessert to serve over vanilla ice-cream. Ingredients:
425 g pitted sweet cherries, drained |
1 1/4 cups heavy cream, whipped |
1 teaspoon sherry wine |
brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Place cherries in ovenproof dish. 2. Place cream and sherry in bowl and whip until soft peaks form. 3. Pour over cherries. 4. Sprinkle thickly with brown sugar. 5. Cook under preheated grill for 3-4 minutes until sugar caramelises. 6. Serve immediately. |
