A no bake recipe that's easy and quick to make. This recipe also makes a delicious pancake filling if you chop the bananas instead of halving them. Try stacking the pancakes between layers of bananas and sauce. Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter |
7 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 tablespoon orange liqueur (triple sec, cointreau, grand marnier) |
4 bananas, sliced in half lengthwise |
Directions:
1. In a pan, melt the butter, add the sugar, stir to combine and simmer for 3 minute. 2. Add the lemon and liqueur and stir gently. 3. Put the bananas in the sauce and simmer for 5 min, or until the sauce thickens. Occasionally spoon the sauce over the bananas to baste them. 4. Serve with vanilla ice cream or waffles and whipped cream (optional). |
