Caramel Apple Tart in the Food Processor |

This recipe is one of our family favourite desserts served warm with vanilla ice-cream. Simple to make but delicious - caramel flavour. Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
60 g butter |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 egg |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup flour |
4 teaspoons cold butter |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 large egg |
2 -4 apples, peeled corred and thinly sliced |
Directions:
1. For the cake place all ingredients in the processor and mix until cake resembles cormeal. 2. Spread into well-buttered 23cm springform tin. 3. Place apple slices over top. (You can make slices in the food processor as well). 4. For the topping again place all ingredients in the food processor and process until sugar dissolves. 5. Spread mixture over the top of the cake. 6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees celcius for 40-45 minutes. |
