In 'More Make It Fast, Cook It Slow' by Stephanie O'Dea Ingredients:
4 cups apple cider |
3 tablespoons caramel syrup (the ice cream topping) |
1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
4 tablespoons sweetened whipped cream (optional) |
Directions:
1. Use a 2-quart slow cooker; pour the apple cider into the slow cooker and add the caramel syrup. 2. Add the spices; cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or High for 2 hours, until heated through. 3. Stir well and ladle into mugs; top with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream. |
