This is dielcious and easy- had a friends house and asked for the recipe! Perfect fall or holiday cheesecake- Ingredients:
1, 21 oz can of apple pie filling |
1 9 inch graham cracker crust |
2, 8 oz pkg cream cheese |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tsp vanilla |
2 eggs |
1/4 cup caramel topping ( storebought ) |
12 pecan halves plus 2 tbs chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Reserve 3/4 cup of the pie filling 2. Spoon remaining filling over a prepared graham cracker crust 3. Beat room temperature cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth 4. Blend in the eggs 5. Pour this over pie filling in crust 6. Bake in a preheated 350F oven about 35 minutes OR until cake center appears set 7. Cool to room temperature 8. Mix reserved pie filling and caramel topping together 9. Heat in a saucepan to make spreadable- only a few minutes 10. Spoon topping over cheesecake and spread evenly 11. Decorate top edges of the cake with the pecans and sprinkle top of cake with the reserved pecans 12. Chill completely before serving |
