Caramel Apple Bread Pudding |

Easy bread pudding that is delicious. Ingredients:
6 slices thick day old bread, cut in 1/2 inch cubes |
1 cup hot water |
1 cup brown sugar |
4 eggs, slightly beaten |
2 cups warm milk |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1/4 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 cup finely chopped apple |
1/3 cup finely chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Place bread in greased 2 qt casserole. combine water and brown sugar and pour over bread. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over bread. 2. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 - 60 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Delicious served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. |
