Have to have my coffee,in any shape or form. Ingredients:
1-1/4 cups strong black coffee |
1/4 cup sugar |
5 tablespoons kahlua |
1 cup heavy cream |
1 tablespoon powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. In a small bowl,mix the coffee,sugar,and 3 Tablespoons of the Kahlua. 2. Pour into a freezer-safe dish,and place in the freeze. 3. To make the granita icy and flaky,run a fork through the mixture,breaking up the lump,three times at 45 minute intervals. 4. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze at least 8 hours,overnight would be better. 5. Whip the cream with the remainder of the Kahula and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. 6. Roughly break up the granita with a fork,spoon into chilled glasses and top with the cream mixture. 7. A couple of chocolate covered coffee beans would'nt be bad on top either. 8. Serves 6 to 8 |
