Cape Cod Cranberry Velvet Pie

This is a good way to get your cranberries in if you dont like reg cranberry sauce....Makes a great pie. This is compliments of Keebler
Ingredients:
1 shortbread pie crust or graham cracker pie crust
1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz)
1 cup whipping cream (1/2 pint)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 can whole cranberry sauce (10-ounce)
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy.
2. In a small mixing bowl, beat whipping cream , sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
3. Gradually add to cream cheese, beating until smooth and creamy.
4. Set aside a few cranberries from sauce for garnish.
5. Fold remaining suace into whipped mixture.
6. Spoon into pie crust.
7. Freeze 4 hours or until firm.
8. Garnish with reserved berries.
9. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving.
