Ingredients:
3/4 lb ground round |
1/4 lb ground pork |
3/4 cup oatmeal |
1/2 cup milk |
1 cup water chestnut, chopped fine |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1/2 teaspoon onion salt |
1 dash tabasco sauce |
1 cup sugar |
3/4 cup cider vinegar |
3/4 cup water |
1 teaspoon paprika |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1/4 cup ketchup |
1 tablespoon ground ginger |
Directions:
1. Combine ingredients for meatballs. Mix well. Form into bite size meatballs. 2. Bake in 9 x 13-inch glass pans in a 375° oven until brown, approximately 1 hour, turning once. 3. Cool and drain on paper towels. 4. Combine ingredients for sauce in large saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer for 5 minutes. 5. Add more cornstarch mixed with water if needed. 6. Simmer 30 minutes. 7. Add meatballs to sauce. Serve warm with toothpicks. |
