A great slow cooker recipe. Serve over plain white rice. Ingredients:
2 lbs pork steaks, cut into strips |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 onion, thinly sliced |
1 (4 1/2 ounce) can mushrooms, drained |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons distilled white vinegar |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
Directions:
1. In a large heavy skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. 2. Brown pork in oil. 3. Drain off excess fat. 4. Place pork, onion, mushrooms, tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, salt and Worcestershire sauce in a slow cooker. 5. Cook on High for 4 hours, or on Low for 6 to 8 hours. |
