From Glory Foods. canned apples or canned fried apples (calories are the same), drained, brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, flour, corn muffin mix, pecans, egg cvt Ingredients:
600 g (net fruit from 30 oz canned) fried apples (94525) or canned apples (9007), drained, reserving 1/2 cup of liquid (next 2 lines) |
100 ml water (do not add) |
20 g sugar (do not add) |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/8 tsp. nutmeg, ground |
1/8 tsp. cinnamon, ground |
1/8 tsp. clove, ground |
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour |
7 1/2 oz. corn muffin mix |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1 egg |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°. 2. Combine the fried apples with sugar, spices and flour. Place in a greased, 8 x 8 x 2 glass casserole dish. 3. Combine the corn muffin mix, pecans, egg and reserved juice from the apples. 4. Pour the prepared muffin mix evenly over the apples. 5. Reduce the temperature to 325°. Place casserole on the center oven rack. Bake for 50-60 minutes. 6. Remove the cobbler from the oven and let stand for 10-15 minutes before serving. |
