I saw this recipe in a magazine ad for a wine.
Ingredients:
1 orange, rind of
1 lemon, rind of
10 whole cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon (i used a 3-inch stick of cinnamon)
1 (750 ml) bottle merlot
10 tablespoons sugar
Directions:
1. Heat merlot in a large saucepan.
2. Dissolve sugar in the warm merlot.
3. Add peels and spices to merlot. (You can put them in a strainer, but I just dumped everything into the wine.).
4. Serve warm or cool.
