This recipe combines two favorites, cookies and nestle crunch bars! Its also extreamly easy to make and a great alternative to chocolate chip cookies. Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/3 cup butter, softened |
1/3 cup shortening |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 egg |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
4 1/2 ounces nestle crunch bars, chopped into tiny chunks |
1/2 cup chocolate chips |
1 tablespoon shortening |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed the sugars, butter, 1/3 C shortening, vanilla, and egg in a large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the candy. 3. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown. Cool cookies for 1 minute, then remove to wire rack to cool completely. 4. Cover the cookie sheets with wax paper. In the microwave, heat chocolate chips and 1 T shortening for 1 minute; stir until smooth. 5. Dip about 1/3 of each cookie into the chocolate. Place on waxed paper. Sprinkle with additional candy bar, finely chopped, if desired. Refrigerate about 3 minutes or until chocolate is set. 6. Enjoy! |
