Candied yams or sweet potatoes Ingredients:
4 cups chopped sweet potatoes or 4 cups yams |
brown sugar |
1/4 cup butter |
mini marshmallows |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°. 2. Boil diced sweet potatoes until soft. Places in square glass pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and dot with butter. Optional: sprinkle with caramel sauce. 3. Bake in oven for 30 minutes, until potatoes are tender and mix is bubbly. Remove from oven and sprinkle generously with marshmallows. Return to oven until marshmallows are browned, about 10 minutes. |
