Candied Walnut Chicken Salad |

This recipe is quick and easy to prepare and simply delicious. My husband loves it. Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts, boneless, cooked and chopped |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1/2 cup candied walnuts, finely chopped (see chef's note below) |
1 stalk celery, finely chopped |
2 teaspoons lemon juice |
1 teaspoon dill weed |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. 1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. 2. 2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. 3. 3. Chef's Note: To candy walnuts, add 2 teaspoons butter and 1/2 cup walnuts to saute pan. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon sugar over walnuts. Warm over medium heat until walnuts are toasted and sugar carmelized (approx. 10 minutes). |
