From my collection of handwritten recipes 1960's. Ingredients:
4 sweet potatoes |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup sherry wine |
Directions:
1. Scrub and boil potatoes until tender, 20-30 minutes. Peel and cut in slices. Put into a buttered baking dish in layers with a little brown sugar over each layer. Dot each layer with butter and a little sherry. Bake in a 350* oven for 30 minutes. |
