Not the typical sweet potato recipe...A holiday must have at my house, even my SIL is becomming a fan... Ingredients:
3 -4 large sweet potatoes |
1 1/2 cups apple juice |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup honey |
Directions:
1. Cook the potatoes, I steam mine. 2. Cool and peel, slice about 1/2 inch thick layer in a large casserole dish. 3. Melt butter and mix in the apple juice and honey to make a syrup. 4. Preheat oven to 325 5. Pour the syrup over the potatoes and bake, basting occasionally till the syrup is absorbed and the potatoes are brown. Serve with gravy, yum! |
