These make a wonderful Christmas gift. Wrap them in a cellophane bag and tie it off with a pretty ribbon. Ingredients:
1 lb pecan halves |
1 cup sugar |
1 egg white |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon water |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 200*. 2. Mix dry ingredients (except nuts) in a large bowl. 3. In another large bowl,beat egg white with water until frothy. 4. Coat pecans with egg white mixture and then with sugar mixture. 5. Spread on a well greased cookie sheet. 6. Bake in oven turning nuts over every 15 minutes. 7. Bake for 1 hour or more until toasted being careful not to burn. |
