A refreshing way to enjoy your parsnips! Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
1/4 cup and 1 teaspoon orange juice |
1 tablespoon honey |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
3 medium parsnips, peeled and sliced |
3/4 teaspoon grated orange peel |
Directions:
1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar, orange juice, honey and salt until smooth. Add parsnips. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15-17 minutes or until parsnips are tender. Add orange peel. |
