An easy recipe that can be used for ice cream topping, gift giving at Christmas or just simply on a cookie platter. Great on a salad with dried cranberries and feta cheese. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup fresh orange juice |
1 teaspoon orange extract |
4 cups walnuts |
Directions:
1. Bring sugar and orange juice to a rolling boil. 2. Boil one minute. 3. Add extract and walnuts. 4. Stir well until evenly coated 5. Pour walnuts onto wax paper. 6. Let sit until dried. 7. Store in airtight container. |
