~Canape~ Ingredients:
1(7oz.)can water packed tuna |
12 anchovy fillets,chopped |
3/4 cup sweet green pepper,chopped |
1/2 cup pimento,chopped |
1 fresh egg,hard boiled,chopped |
1 cup russian dressing |
1-1/2 tablespoon cognac |
6 tablespoon butter |
6 thin bread slices,remove the crusts |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
1. Combine tuna,anchovies,green pepper,pimento,egg and 2 tablespoons Russian dressing. 2. Mix completely and set to the side. 3. In another bowl,mix the remaining Russian dressing with the cognac and set this to the side. 4. Place butter in a pan,melt,saute the bread slices until well browned and butter has been absorbed. 5. In this same pan,spread tuna mixture over each bread slice. 6. Cover with the Russian dressing mixture. 7. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce over each. 8. Heat over low heat for about 5 to 10 minutes (or) until very hot. 9. ~Serve Immediately~ |
